You are invited to participate in this extraordinary retreat. The date is perfect for an advent “vigil”. In fact, we will light the first candle of Advent 2018 “HOPE” together on December 2, 2018. “ VIGIL” means “ awake” or “devotional watch”.  “ADVENT” means “arrival” or “coming”.  Fresh Oil Ministries invites you to “Come” …  and “wonder”, “watch”, “wait” and “welcome” Advent 2018.

RENEE GARCIA

Renee Garcia has served on the Fresh Oil Ministries Board of Directors for 25 years. She devotedly served 20 years with WEGO Ministries (World Evangelical Global Organization), a nonprofit ministry in Cocoa Beach, Florida in various roles including Director, leading worldwide mission teams, discipleship counseling, teaching local bible studies, leading international teaching conferences and ministering to women in addiction at a residential home. She currently lives in Tampa, Florida where she has established a women’s ministry focusing on spiritual formation including Bible teaching and leading retreats at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. Renee has been married 51 years and has two lovely daughters and 3 teenage grandchildren. She enjoys art, international travel and spending time with her family

Debbie Stevenson

Debbie Stevenson has devoted herself to ministry to women since the beginning of her spiritual journey in a variety of settings including crisis counseling, discipleship counseling and teaching, She has also served as a Bible teacher and mentor to students and other age groups. She is currently a spiritual director and member of Spiritual Directors International. She has served on the Fresh Oil Ministry Board for 21 years. As a career registered nurse, Debbie has practiced in a variety of clinical settings and is now serving as a school nurse. She has been married to her husband Jerry 37 years, the mother of 4 children and devoted grandmother of 16 grandchildren! Debbie is an avid reader, enjoys traveling and has recently discovered the gift of collage art.

Karen Collins

Karen Collins has been involved in women’s ministry most of her adult years. She and her husband, John have been married 35 years and live in the mountains of North Carolina. They have 5 children—three are married, one is in the Navy, and one son still at home. She is “Marmie” to two grandsons, Brycen and Henry. Karen is a licensed professional counselor (LPCA), licensed clinical addictions specialist (LCASA), and a national certified counselor (NCC). It has been her privilege to volunteer for the past 6 years at a women’s correctional center, serve as a Rapid Response Chaplain with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and volunteer with Thrive Ministry which serves global women (missionaries). She celebrates the opportunity to worship through dance, enjoys hiking, jeeping, reading and taking care of her Aunt Mildred.

Angie Kolsch

Angie Kolsch is the founding director of Fresh Oil Ministries. She has devoted the past 38 years in servant ministry leading Bible studies in her local church, retreats, curriculum writing as well as songwriting and musical production. Her desire to encourage and grow alongside others in spiritual formation has continued through the years from inductive Bible teaching to contemplative spirituality practices. She continues to passionately enjoy her vocational practice as a speech language pathologist in adult homecare settings. She is the wife of Dennis, her friend and love of 43 years.They have 3 children and enjoy being Opa and Oma to 4 adorable grandchildren. Angie enjoys travel to the N.C. mountains and overseas to the Netherlands and abroad with her family. However, when at home there is no place like the beach, her regular place of solitude.

Buffy Pilloud is a health and wellness educator who works with students of
all ages and abilities, helping them to achieve mind-body-spirit well-being
using movement, breath work, meditation and the power of nature. Travel,
family, spirituality and appreciation of nature are her passions.
A graduate of Cornell University, Buffy is an Associate Professor of Yoga
and Meditation at Valencia College, where she is also a Peace & Justice
Institute Facilitator. She is a Tai Chi instructor and Director of Professional
Development for an Orlando company that provides free fitness classes for
area seniors and those with disabilities. Buffy lives in Orlando with her
Swiss chef husband and her cat, Yoshi.

Judy Guzman is a Spiritual Director, a graduate of Audire (The Central Florida Foundation for Spiritual Direction), and a member of Spiritual Directors International.   Judy has enjoyed  ministering to women through bible study, discipleship counseling, growth groups, and retreats for over 30 years.  She has had the privilege of mentoring women in a residential addiction recovery program through WEGO (Worldwide Evangelical Gospel Outreach).

Judy is celebrating 48 years of marriage and is blessed with a son and four daughters.  She adores being “Nana” to 9 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.  Judy recently retired after 25 years as a Medical Office Manager and devotes her time to reading, contemplative practices, and spending time with her family and friends.
